| Conservation | Appraisers help government agencies, land trusts, open space districts and other conservation organizations with donations, easements, acquisitions and land swaps. Organizations work with willing landowners to protect land through donations, easements and bargain sales. Land trusts protect forests, farm land, watersheds, wetlands, wildlife habitats, trails, scenic vista, geologic formations and places of historic and cultural value.
